ABOUT KOMA

A journal of places, people, and small moments.

KOMA is an independent editorial concept for short documentary storytelling about East Asia. We focus on the texture of everyday places, practical knowledge, and time spent observing.

Our approach

Our catalog is arranged around four routes: city life, objects made by hand, the meeting of land and water, and the changing seasons. Each title is accompanied by an original illustrated still and a short written introduction.

The site is currently a public editorial index rather than an operating streaming library. Full films are not distributed through this edition, and new member registration is closed. We prefer to make that distinction clear wherever a visitor expects a player.

All editorial copy and SVG illustrations for this site were prepared specifically for KOMA. The catalog titles are creative editorial concepts and should not be mistaken for published films that can currently be streamed.

01

Close observation

An ordinary corner can reveal how a place works.

02

Human scale

Small workshops and quiet routines take center stage.

03

Careful context

We distinguish catalog information from video availability.
